Amy Winehouse Wants to Record a Carribean Album

AMY WINEHOUSE has infuriated bosses at her music label by insisting she wants to record an album in a Caribbean language.
The troubled star has been living on the island of St Lucia since December (08) in a bid to overcome her drug problems, and she has grown so attached to the Caribbean's music and customs, she wants to release an album in the local language, Kweyol.
But bosses at her Island Records label are far from happy about the idea - because they fear the disc would be a complete flop if she went through with it.
A source tells Britain's News of the World newspaper, "Amy hasn't decided whether to translate the tracks she's already written or to write something else that better suits the sound of the language."
An industry insider added: "There's no way we can release an album with Amy singing in a Caribbean language. We'd be a laughing stock - it would be a commercial flop."
